Thomas Johnson Published The Inaugural Issue of Union Spring Literary Review
Thomas Johnson (Fiction ‘26) published the first issue of Union Spring Literary Review, a literary review of poetry, fiction and nonfiction. Thomas (editor-in-chief) along with the founders created the journal to give voices to the voiceless and maybe make a little bit of a difference.
Union Spring searches for the kinds of words that come up from the street and speak from the heart. We’re keenly attuned to the literary language of the mid-century beats and the dirty realism of the American masters. It’s an opinion only, but there’s a literature of protest inherent in pointing the finger, and we hope to echo that great American longing for something courageous, powerful, and new.
