Celebrating LatinX Storytellers: Stories of Power and Transformation

On Friday September 13, 2024 The New School Creative Writing Program hosted a night of literary icons, bringing together four award-winning, Latine memoirists to discuss memoir, identity, culture, and language as they craft stories that capture how they exist in the world.

The event was hosted by award-winning journalist Jeanine Ramirez, and featured literary icon Esmeralda Santiago, author and former aide to President Obama, Alejandra Campoverdi, and award-winning author, Jaquira Díaz, with opening remarks from Luis Jaramillo (Faculty).
