Carly Sachs teaches creative writing at George Washington University. Her work was included in Best American Poetry 2004. The Steam Sequence offers a journey into the mind of a Holocaust survivor in which past becomes present and a single woman struggles to locate herself. This book asks us to examine the silences and the spaces between memory and reality.
